Arthur Lydiard, one of the world's most influential coaches, was the founder of revolutionary training systems which have revolutionized training. These systems are based upon the principles of Arthur Lydiard, which were formulated at Arthur Lydiard's Centre for Exercise and Sport Science in Christchurch, New Zealand in the late 1950s.
Arthur's training methods are now used by many professional athletes, including several Olympians. Since his retirement in 1976 he has remained active in sports coaching and lecturing around the world. He is a consultant to numerous sports teams in England and the United States.
Arthur Lydiard has written over twenty books on exercise and sport, including Arthur Lydiard's Training for Triathlon (1982), Arthur Lydiard's High Intensity Training (1987) and Arthur Lydiard's Running Formula (1994).
