Arthur Byron Cover (1911 - 1993) wrote more than two dozen books, including several that became bestsellers. Cover earned a BA and MA from the University of Texas and an honorary doctorate from his alma mater. He taught at the University of Texas and other universities and was a prolific writer of novels, short stories, plays, essays and screenplays. He also worked as a Hollywood screenwriter and had a long career as an editor for such magazines as Saturday Evening Post
His books included The Best Years of Our Lives, That Old Feeling, and The Men I Never Knew.
