Anuradha Roy is a prolific writer of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. Her published works of fiction include A Suitable Boy (winner of the Commonwealth Writers' Prize), The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry (shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize) and A Hundred Little Flames (winner of the Premchand Prize). Her work has been translated into thirty-seven languages. She was born in India and has lived in France and Britain.
