Anton Rubaclini is an author of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and dramas. He was born in the town of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria on 16 February 1927. As a child, he spent his summers at his uncle's farm in the village of Rupite. He studied dramatic arts at the University of Sofia after which he worked as a journalist for the Bulgarian National Radio's Educational Department
During this time he began to write short stories and novels.
