Anne-Sophie Swetchine, born in Paris, France, is a French writer and author of numerous books. Her first novel, "The Letter" (2001), was awarded the Prix de la Fidélité for best debut novel. Her other novels include "This is not a novel" (2003), "The Women's Room" (2005) and "Falling in Love with Your Wife" (2009). She published her first book at the age of nineteen and was awarded the Prix de Flore and the Prix de Meilleur Livre de Jeunesse for her first young adult novel, "We'll Always Be Friends", which was also nominated for the Prix Goncourt
