Ann Kidd Taylor is a writer, speaker and author of several books, including The Inspired Life: How to Find Meaning in Yourself and Your World. Taylor is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers' Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Hall's International Council in 2009. In addition to writing, Taylor is a twice-published travel writer, a frequent public speaker on the topic of travel and tourism and an award-winning lecturer on the subject. Taylor has been honored with numerous awards including the Lufthansa Chief Executive Award for Excellence in Corporate Communications, recognition as a "Top 100 Influential Woman" by Ladies Home Journal, the Kluge Fellowship Award from the Library of Congress and the National Medal of Arts from President George W. Bush. Taylor has been named to Best Places to Work by Working Mother magazine over five consecutive years and was named one of the 100 Most Creative People by Fast Company Magazine.
Taylor was also named among Advertising Age's list of "The 50 Most Powerful Women in Media," one of only five women from outside New York City to make the list. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received her MFA in Creative Writing from New York University in 1979.
