Andrew Eldritch is a British musician, songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur. Born in Penarth, Wales in 1962, he became a musician at the age of 16, working with his older brother Tim and going under the name 'Eldritch'. In 1983 he formed The Sisters Of Mercy with his future wife Louise Skidmore. The band went on to release several albums and singles during the 1980s and early 1990s
After a hiatus from The Sisters Of Mercy from 2001-2011, Andrew formed another side project - 'The Dauphin' - alongside former Sisters drummer Ben Ward. In 2012 Andrew was diagnosed with cancer and decided to retire from music. He died on 1 February 2015 aged 54 .
