Alys Arden is a professional musician and author of over twenty books. A lifelong musician, she played the piano and the violin for twelve years. When she was seventeen, she began writing book reviews and articles for magazines, and soon became a full-time writer. Her work has appeared in Publishers Weekly, The Chicago Tribune, and others
She has also written articles about music and musicians for newspapers and magazines. Her first novel, The Fairest of Them All, was published in 1995 by Pocket Books and is now available in paperback from Pocket Books. Her second novel, Darkest Pleasures (Pocket Books), was released in 1997 to rave reviews.
It was also a bestseller in many countries around the world, including Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and the UK. In 2000 her third book of historical romance titled A Taste of Magic (Pocket Books) arrived in bookstores.
