That system is now responsible for serving more than 85,000 people across 6 million lives in New York City and Westchester County. He has worked in residential treatment facilities for more than 17 years, studying addiction treatment since 1992, and helping communities with community-based rehabilitation since 1998. He is also the founder of The Contemporary Addiction Treatment Institute (CATI), which is dedicated to promoting alternatives to traditional addiction treatment, including the development of evidence-based, community based models that can be replicated across the nation.
