Dr. Hirsch is also recognized as one of the world's leading experts on the biology and treatment of mood disorders such as depression and anxiety. He received his B.A., M.D., from Cornell University, and his M.D., Ph.D., from UCLA's School of Medicine, where he trained with eminent psychologists such as Stanley Schachter and Hans Eysenck.
