A. Louise Robertson's career has spanned more than four decades in the advertising industry. She began her advertising career in 1952, when she joined the Young & Rubicam agency. She was one of the first women to work on Madison Avenue, and she helped create the "creative revolution" of the 1960s
She went on to co-found Robertson, Inc., with Roger L. Mills, developing the first computerized database management system used in advertising. She is known for her award-winning campaign for Ramada Inn that launched its chain of hotels in 1969, and for creating more than 150 television commercials throughout her career.
