14 Quotes About Yellow Journalism

Yellow journalism is a pejorative term used to refer to the mass media of journalism. The term was first coined by a reporter in a yellow press, a gossip sheet run by William Randolph Hearst. The term was originally an insult, but is now often used as a descriptive term to refer to sensationalistic and alarmist news stories that focus on the negative aspects of political candidates or candidates for office. A yellow press style of journalism is common today in all commercial media, from television news to the tabloid newspapers.
