The Diary of a Young Girl is a classic. Written by Anne Frank, it was first published in 1947. It’s a diary that chronicles her life from 13 June 1942 to 5 June 1944, during the time she and her family hid from the Nazis during World War II. In it, she records the story of her family’s experiences hiding from the Nazis in an attic above their apartment in Amsterdam during World War II, and her development as a young woman and writer.
