During my childhood, people used to call John whenever they needed help. John is a common name and I think the public thought that John was a good Samaritan who would always be there to lend a helping hand whenever needed. Even as an adult, I still remember some of those old traditional phrases. Some of those old traditional phrases were: “John is the man for this situation” and “John will be there for you”.
