If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel as though I had a pistol pointed at my head. What can anybody reply under such conditions but that which the pistol holder requires? 'I love you, too'.

Kurt Vonnegut Jr.
If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel...
If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel...
If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel...
If somebody says 'I love you' to me, I feel...
About This Quote

In the world today, there is a growing trend of people who are in love saying “I love you” to each other. However, the number of times the person being spoken to actually feels that they have been fired a pistol pointed at their head is unknown. The person who has been shot with a pistol in this instance will likely be in a state of shock. In an attempt to make them feel better a person who “loves too” will say “I love you” back. The only problem with this is that if the person feels they have been shot, they aren’t likely to respond favorably to such comments.
