Maybe he wasn’t there to lead so much as to provide an illusion to the others that they were being led.

About This Quote

I am not a leader by nature. I am a follower of the group and of course, a follower of individuals that have a certain value of character. However, I have to admit that I have been led to believe that being a leader would be great. I am afraid that my expectations have been raised so high that if someone were to really lead me, I would find it difficult to follow. In other words, if the person who is supposed to be leading me does not really care about me, then why should I care about him?
