This is a very interesting quote and one that I would like to learn more about. Can we really choose what we want to do? Not all the time, but sometimes we can. We do not always get what we want. Sometimes, what we want is bad for us.

I think this quote goes along with the idea that people who make a conscious effort to do the exact opposite of what others tell them are more powerful than those who simply do what others tell them. This quote shows that sometimes it is better to be different than to be safe.
