Before there was a King James Version of our Bible, there was a gospel truth. In the early years of the Bible, many people were searching for truth in a world that was not yet ready to find it. The book of John records a story about Jesus telling people to search the scriptures because in them they would find all they need to know. In fact, he even said, “I have much more to say to you, but you cannot bear it now.” At that time, people did not know that the Bible contained a revelation from God.

They just knew that something was missing from their lives and needed to be filled. Even though they didn’t know it at the time, the Apostle Paul had been saying similar things about Jesus’s return for years before John wrote about it in his book called “The Revelation of Jesus Christ.” In other words, long before there was a King James Version of our Bible...there was a gospel truth!
