When I was a kid, I used to get in trouble for doing things. Like running in the house with shoes on my hands, or throwing rocks at trees, or even killing crows with a slingshot. I never did any of those things intentionally. That's probably why I got away with so many things for so long! Now that I'm more of an adult, people are still shocked when I get caught doing something bad.
As an example, last week I was hiding under my bed when my brother came into my room. He saw me there, but assumed that I was playing a game on my laptop. He asked me what I was doing there.
"Well," I said, "I'm doing some kind of game." And then he said, "Oh, you should really warn your parents about what you're doing" and walked out of the room. That's when it dawned on me that he had made the same mistake that his father had made when he didn't warn his son about playing with matches.
