If a policy is wrongheaded feckless and corrupt I take it personally and consider it a moral obligation to sound off and not shut up until it's fixed.

About This Quote

When I first started writing on this blog I thought it would be easy to write about issues that were important to me. I thought it would be easy to provide commentary on all of the news stories that interested me or that I felt were important. However, after doing this for a while, I realized that the things that are most important to me are not always ones that make headlines. I realized that even though the issues of the world affect us all, they don't always make the front page of the newspaper or appear on TV broadcasts.

This is why I think everyone should take the time to read books like this one. It is not just an exercise in writing words upon paper but also an exercise in learning how to communicate with others about what truly matters.
