About This Quote

Chocolate is God's apology for brocolli The funny thing about this quote is that it was not really meant to be funny. It was the ending to an article in the Guardian newspaper in 1985 discussing how chocolate should be better than broccoli. The article was written by well known London chef Michel Roux, who is also the father of the late, great Gordon Ramsay. It seems that in 1985, when broccoli was not considered very good for you, there were no ready-made excuses for why chocolate was better.
