About This Quote

Faith, the main character in this novel, is constantly frustrated with her life because she can never seem to fit in to the world around her. She is unruly and unkempt, yet everyone else seems to think she is perfectly fine. She wants to be beautiful, but no one wants to give her any compliments. Her own mother tells her to stop nagging and just accept what she has. Through all of her struggles to fit in, Faith meets another character that truly understands her.
