I try to avoid having thoughts. They lead to other thoughts, and–if you’re not careful–those lead to actions. Actions make you tired. I have this on rather good authority from someone who once read it in a book.

About This Quote

This quote is a play on the fact that the mind is a slippery slope. The more you think about things, the more you will do them. Thinking leads to doing and doing leads to action. When you give in to your thoughts, they become your actions and those actions can become habits. If you do something without thinking about it, it will be easy to resume what you were doing.
