However, the question that has to be asked is, "Is the USA the greatest nation?" Democrats would have you believe that America is the greatest nation on earth. Republicans believe there is a need to "Make America Great Again." In this statement, there are two different ideas being suggested.
One idea is to make America great again, while the other is to make America great again. In this way, there are two alternatives, and both of them refer to past generations and events that brought about greatness in America. An alternative that refers to past events could be referred to as history, and an alternative that refers to future events could be referred to as prophecy.
The use of different terms in these statements shows that one side wants to see America become great again, while the other wants to see America becoming great again for its own sake; or make it great again because it can be made great again.
