As the consumer, I should be at the top of the food chain, with no one above me. But this is not always the case. What gives me the power to come down on other people? Because I have money, and they don’t, which gives me the ability to make demands on other people. Because other people do not have enough money to pay me back, they are forced to work to try and earn their way out of my debt.
