About This Quote

I don't hate Republicans as individuals. But I hate what the Republicans are doing to this country. I really do. In the past, the Republicans were all for individual rights.

In fact, they were the ones who were most active in defending individual rights. They defended minorities, women and gays to name a few. Nowadays, however, many Republican politicians have turned their back on those rights.

They have become completely corporate. They defend big business and big money at the expense of everyone else. The Republican party has become a club for the wealthy and powerful while the poor and middle class are left out in the cold.

I’m not saying that all or even most Republicans are bad people or that all Republicans are bad politicians. Some of them are good people who have been corrupted by money and power. In other words, they have been converted to being bad people through greed and power.

They lost sight of their original purpose of protecting us from tyranny and becoming corrupt instead.
