There is no way I would trade the past three hundred years for the past three hundred days, because it has been filled with so many amazing moments. If I could do it all again, I would start three hundred years ago and write twice as fast. I wouldn’t have to wait so long to publish a book or have a baby or hike across a desert or play a great song on a guitar. It would be nice not to have my heart broken so many times by people I love, and not having a thousand deadlines to meet each day.

And it would be great not to have been so insecure about being good enough, or being too fat or too skinny, or being too short or too tall. But most of all, I would have more time with my family and friends, and less time sitting in traffic.
