When his life was ruined, his family killed, his farm destroyed, Job knelt down on the ground and yelled up to the heavens, "Why god? Why me?" and the thundering voice of God answered, There's just something about you that pisses me off.

Stephen King
About This Quote

The story of Job is a very sad one indeed. His family was killed, his farm was destroyed and he was left all alone in the world. All this while he was still faithful to God and while he could not ask for help because he knew that God would be the only one to answer him. He did not ask for a favour or a boon or something like that, he simply asked why and what is wrong with him that God chooses to punish him in such a cruel way.

The idea here is that it is better to ask questions than to curse other people; for other people will surely answer you and you will get the answer you need. It also means that it is better to ask other people than to curse yourself.
