Young people today are deeply passionate and crave authentic life based on truth. They're hungry to make a difference. They're willing to take a stand for whatever they believe, even to die for a cause. When they sell out to Jesus, they'll pursue a standard of righteousness that is greater than anything you and I ever saw growing up. Don't water it down. Don't lower the standard. It is our responsibility to raise our children to be good, strong, Godly people. We need to teach them that just because something is popular or cool or accepted by their peers, it doesn't necessarily make it right. We also need to show our children that there are consequences to their actions. When they do wrong things, we need to discipline them so that they understand why they are behaving the way they are.
