About This Quote

A hypnotist uses the power of suggestion to convince someone that they are doing something when in fact they are not doing it at all. This person is then made to do things that they would not normally do. For example, they may be told to raise their hand or sit in a certain position or speak in a strange tone of voice. They may be given a command and told to obey it.

Hypnotism is also used to make people believe that they can fly and walk through walls and so on. The hypnotist usually doesn’t want them to do these things but rather wants them to imagine that they can and then go through with it.
