I think this is a really important quote. It's like you're saying that you were mad that your friends did something that upset you, but then you realised that they were your friends, and that they always will be. You didn't have to be mad at them. You actually realise that it's good for friends to be able to do stuff which might upset each other. That way they can trust each other and know that they can trust each other.
