God will answer you prayers better than you think. Of course, one will not always get exactly what he has asked for.... We all have sorrows and disappointments, but one must never forget that, if commended to God, they will issue in good.... His own solution is far better than any we could conceive. Fanny J. Crosby
About This Quote

This quote is said to be from Charles Dickens, but there is no evidence that he ever actually said it. The author of the book, J.A. Froude, wrote it in 1883 and attributed it to James Anthony Froude, whose grandfather had been a friend of Dickens'. J.A. Froude wrote: "I wonder whether God wills that we should always get what we ask for and quickly too....I doubt whether we ought to pray for anything we will not get...the best we can do is to ask God to give us what we need and to make the best use of it."
