If we are not taught about love when our brains and hearts are forming, we may never even recognize it when it stands in front of us. We may even run from it. We would miss out on the one thing that makes life worth living.

About This Quote

From the time we are born, we are given love. But what about love? How can you define it? Maybe you have heard of the word “love” used in everyday language, but if you ask most people they will most likely respond by describing another kind of feeling. The love that is talked about most often is romantic love. Love that brings people together and makes them happy.

It's a beautiful thing, but not the only kind of love that exists. We are also taught about friendship at a young age. A close friend who always helps us out when we need it.

We grow up feeling extremely grateful for our friends and their support. But what about all the other types of loving relationships that exist in life? Do you feel gratitude for them? For instance, your parents or grandparents may have brought you into this world. They may have loved you with all their hearts and without any conditions attached.

Yet, do you feel grateful for this fact?
