The title of this quote is in reference to the Catholic priest in Rwanda who was performing mass and when he went to say, “Our Father,” the microphone in his hand cut off the sound. Instead of stopping and letting everyone know, he kept going and said, “Our Father,” but no sound came out. The congregation thought it was a technical problem and continued with his sermon, but he wasn’t hearing them anymore. He kept asking them if they were there and if they could hear him, but they weren’t hearing him.

He didn’t stop and ask what was wrong and because of his lack of faith he couldn’t fix the problem. If he asked for help and believed it would work, then the microphone would have come back online and would have surprised everyone.
