Stages may exist on the path, but there is no question of stages in the goal. The goal of man is self-realization. Self-realisation is never partial. What is partial is not Self-realisation.

About This Quote

The goal of a person is to realize who they truly are. This means that a person should never be limited by the stage they are in, but should continuously strive for self-realisation. The problem with this idea is that it can be quite difficult to achieve as the stages of life are so numerous and their importance so great. For example, a teenage girl might have a great crush on a boy in her class.

Though she knows that this is an inappropriate way to feel, she does not know any other way yet to feel the same feelings she feels when she sees this boy. To do this, she must remain in her teenage years and fall in love with a man much older than herself. With the passing of time, her crush will fade and she must move on from it, ready to move forward to the next stage of life.
