About This Quote

The moment that you find yourself in a situation that you don’t understand, your mind will quickly attempt to make sense of it. It will try to put everything into a box and label it as normal or abnormal. But what happens when you have a feeling of uncertainty? Your mind will immediately try to fill the void with suspicion and wonder. While these two things can be useful traits, they can also cause a great deal of trouble.

For instance, why would a person be suspicious of a person who is sending them letters from across the country? Are they receiving someone else’s letters? Are they being followed? Is this all some kind of elaborate joke? Just because these things are happening doesn’t mean that there isn’t something more to it. In fact, if nothing is wrong then these feelings should be taken as a sign of something going wrong somewhere else.
