They saw a poster for the "Dynamic Duo" of superheroes, The Green Arrow and Speedy, who are described as "The world's unlikeliest crime-fighting team." April thought it sounded like fun so she approached the shop owner about it. The owner told her that they needed another person to be The Black Canary, Speedy's sidekick. April was excited at the chance to be Speedy's sidekick, but Grace did not think she was right for the job.

Grace then said that if April were Speedy's sidekick, she could have her own super powers because she already has her own sidekick, Alfred.
