This quote is a little bit depressing, but it does have some truth to it. I don't know many people that say that they don't feel depressed or sad if their love was not reciprocated. In the end, all of us want to be loved and feel loved in return. We want to be special and believe that if we are not, then something is wrong with us.

When we are in a relationship or in a marriage, we try to change someone's personality or fix their faults. We try to make them happy in order to make ourselves happy in the process. Unfortunately, this never works out in our favor because they still do not feel the same way about us.

It is extremely difficult when you fall in love with someone and they do not feel the same way about you. You spend so much time trying to make them happy and be there for them through the good times and bad times, but they still do not return the favor.
