About This Quote

I hate when people say 'I see'. It doesn't mean anything and I think it's hostile. Whenever anyone tells me 'I see' I think they're really saying 'Fuck you'. I could tell you a story about a time when someone just said "I see" to me and it made me feel rejected and rejected by them, but I'm not going to get into that.

Besides, just saying "I see" doesn't mean anything, so what's the problem? It's just something you say when you don't have anything to add to the conversation or in order to hide your ignorance and/or lack of knowledge in the area of the conversation in which you are involved. Or maybe you don't want others to question what you say, do or think? This is the problem with saying "I see" when we really mean something else, like "I've got it wrong" or "I've got no idea". Maybe we should stop saying this phrase altogether because we all know that when we say it we're actually doing it.
