What does what we know or don't know have to do with the laws that govern the world?

About This Quote

This question is a classic example of the many absurdities that are committed in the name of science. It is all very well to say that it is absurd to be concerned about what we know or don't know about the laws of physics, but science is not about what we know or don't know. The scientific method consists of observing certain patterns of evidence, making predictions, and testing them in order to determine whether they are accurate. If someone says, “I believe in God”, it is fine for them to believe this. But there is no reason to think that their belief has anything to do with the laws that govern the world.
