It is better to understand the meaning of something by not being ignorant. If you are not knowledgeable, you will not know why are doing certain things. But this does not mean that you will not still think about it. Guarding knowledge means that you are afraid to let go of what you have learned because you think that there is something more to learn or that this is the only way to know anything. If everything is known, then nothing can be understood.
