The search for Jesus is bigger, deeper and agonizing. I can't tell you how many times I have cried out to the Lord in prayer asking Him to heal me.

How many times have I prayed with all of my being that He would help me to feel better physically, mentally or emotionally? I have no doubt that God hears every one of those prayers and wants to heal us. But, what I've found is that He often has a different plan for us than what we may think He has in mind. At times, His plan is good and sometimes it's not so good. The healing process is also about our understanding of things.

What God wants to show me may not be what I thought that He wanted to show me. The healing process can be painful at times but that pain shows me that God is always working something out in me even though it may be hard for me to see it at first. It's also about realizing that although things aren't always easy right now, they will get easier as time goes by and I keep living out the way of Jesus (Luke 9:23).
