It has been my personal experience that as I allow the painting to speak I become lost, it is delicious and at the same time frightening. The best ones, to me, have a life of their own.

I am referring to something that I experienced when I was painting. When I became lost in the painting, it was like I felt I could become one with it. The colours became so vibrant and alive, it seemed as if they were speaking to me. Often, the brush strokes created images of past memories. I would blend them together so effortlessly, they would become one with the painting.
