I was a teenager when I first heard this quote, and it made me believe that my writing was not up to par. I had been writing for a few years at this point, and I thought of the quote as a sign that I wasn’t writing well. But, years later, when I looked back on my past works, I realized that I have been hard on myself. In fact, most of my early work was quite good.
The problem was that I didn’t get the feedback I deserved from my readers. In order to get better, you must realize that your work is not perfect and try to make some improvements. You can’t wait for others to notice your work before trying to make any changes.
