Writers shouldn't fear criticism. Instead, they should fear silence. Criticism is healthy. It gets people thinking about your work and, even better, it gets them talking and arguing. But as for silence -- it is the greatest killer of writers. So if you hate a book and want to hurt it -- don't talk about it. And if you hate my books -- please, for God's sake, shout it from the hills! Robert Fanney
About This Quote

When we read a truly good book we want to shout it about and praise it but we all know that in this world of today, talking about a book in public is not something you can do. So, when we read a book and we really like it, we keep quiet and don't want to hurt it by saying too much about it. And if someone likes one of my books they would probably like the rest of them as well. But if I don't like a book I would let everyone know about it and say what I think about it.
