The first line of the famous poem “God doesn’t listen to me too, but people have their suspicions” written by Ogden Nash is believed to be inspired by the biblical story of Job. Job lost his children and his wealth, but God was not listening to Job’s cries for help. After seven days of suffering, God finally answered Job’s prayers and restored everything that was taken away from him.

From this point forward, Job praised God for answering his prayers and thanking him for restoring what he lost. However, instead of giving God all the credit, Job said that it was not God who had done all of the miraculous things, but it was people who had done them in order to justify their own actions.
