The story of Naaman and his leprosy is told in 2 Kings 5:14-16. Naaman was a powerful warrior in the land of Syria (2 Kings 5:13). On one occasion, he went to the Prophet Elisha and asked him to cure his leprosy (2 Kings 5:4). Before long, Elisha had healed Naaman.

But Naaman didn't want to stop there. He wanted Elisha to tell him that he should dunk himself in the Jordan River (2 Kings 5:13), which would wash away his leprosy. That's how badly he wanted to get rid of it.

Since Naaman's faith was so strong, Elisha did not refuse him. So Naaman went back to Syria and dunked himself twelve times in the Jordan River. And guess what? His leprosy didn't go away!
