Jay Jones was the guitarist for Megadeth, a thrash metal band. Jay was stabbed to death during a fight with his friend. Jay had a very short temper and he had trouble keeping friends, or even being friends with people in general. According to the article that is quoted, the people who knew Jay knew that he would not hesitate to call someone out if they did something stupid.

He would also say hurtful things to others without considering how it might make them feel. But, what makes this quote sadder still is that Jay himself said that the way he died was not very funny at all.
