About This Quote

In crime and enmity they lie Who sin and tell us love can die, Who say to us in slander's breath That love belongs to sin and death. All those who claim that true love is a thing of the past, a thing that is out of reach for all of us because we are too flawed or too poor or too unworthy or too lost, all those people will fail. They cannot make it happen. Love is not a product of our flaws, our shortcomings, our weaknesses.

In truth, love is a force that never ends. It lives on through everything we do, everything we strive for. It does not belong to those who choose to sin against others or those who refuse to do right by others.

It belongs to those who know the truth and believe in the truth and live according to the truth and show the world the truth despite all opposition and despite all hardship and despite all disappointment and despite all rejection and despite all losing battles. It belongs to those people who rise every time we fall.
