He sings this song to himself as he goes to his job and to try and work it off so he can get some rest or sleep. I think it is very hard to not feel bad when you listen to this song as it describes such an extreme situation as someone who works in a mortuary that constantly has work that they have to do all the time and constantly feels that they are not able to relax or get any rest because of their job yet still has to do all the work they have to do because they feel like they need the money and the job and don't know what else to do with their life.
